The company I work for, Critical Mass, has launched some fantastic work for our clients recently. I’m overdue in giving props to all the great work that my colleagues have been doing lately! Here’s a sampling of some of the great stuff we produce:

Rolex.com Redesign Goes Live

The new Rolex.com is nothing short of stunning and beautiful. Adobe awarded Rolex.com site of the day yesterday. They said:

Critical Mass rolls out a classy site for Rolex. Visitors experience the luxury watch collection and Rolex brand through stunning graphics and video, as well as rich transitions and navigation. Built with After Effects, Flash, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Currently the site isn’t optimized for Macs, so you’ll have to hop on a Windows system with the latest version of Flash to get the full-effect.

Another gorgeous production: MB Fashion Week 2007.

Vic Wonder: Vegas Visionary

Vic Wonder: Vegas Visionary is a promotional site that we put together for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Association. It’s a great take on the “ask a question” genre of microsites. Tons of fun too!

Pampers Blog: Baby Journeys

Baby Journeys is a blog from Pampers written by - wait for this… REAL PEOPLE! Written by regular everyday folks from across Canada, Baby Journeys is meant to capture the trials and tribulations of several bloggers who are all at different stages of their babies’ development.

“Currently the site isn’t optimized for Macs, so you’ll have to hop on a Windows system with the latest version of Flash to get the full-effect.”

That’s a bit vague. What do you mean by ‘optimized,’ or ‘to get the full effect’?

The site seems to work fine on Mac OS X 10.4 with Safari 2.0.4. Is it slower to load because it hasn’t been optimized? Are there features missing that prevent one from getting the full effect?

Over on Brands Create Customers, there is a post referring to widgets on the Rolex site. There doesn’t appear to be any widget, however. There’s a working watch, but it’s not a widget, ie. you can’t append it to another web page or add it to your computer. Is that what’s missing if the site is viewed on a Mac? Very confusing.

    Hi Brad,

On most Mac configurations the Rolex site displays a fully functional DHTML site. The “full-effect” is a Flash driven implementation that mostly appears on Windows machines.

Regarding the reference to a Rolex widget - I too am unsure! There definitely isn’t a widget, as I understand widgets, on the Rolex site.

    Thanks for commenting.

The Rolex site is killer. I love seeing work like that - Congrats to all involved.
