Dispatches From Virtual Holland
Published March 23rd, 2007 in UX News, Customer Experience, Advertising, Marketing, Brand, Second LifeING has entered Second Life with the creation of Virtual Holland. Today they offered up a sneak preview of Virtual Holland. I went for a quick spin around the new neighbourhood and took some pics while I was there.
Enjoy!
PS - If you’re looking for me in SL, my avatar’s name is Theodore Raymond.

You are greeted first by ING information stations.

The info stations give you tips on how to work Second Life controls as well as navigating Virtual Holland. It’s nice that tips are provided because, no doubt, there will be a number of first time visitors to Second Life because of the ING experiment.

Virtual Holland’s main building.

Inside the building there was a number of people hanging out, checking out the scene.

Virtual Holland is a space for Second Life citizens to set up services. The one pictured above is for a dating/friendship service.

Pottery and other items for the home were on sale.

Clothing for your avatar.

People dancing and having a great time!

Virtual Holland features elements from the real Holland like windmills and fields of tulips.

Undeveloped tracks of land with “For Sale” signs.

Weird dinosaur dude. I’m not sure why we were standing in a pond.
