Verity Credit Union: Customer Advocacy and Transparency
Published May 22nd, 2007 in Customer Experience, Exceptional Experience, Brand
Verity Credit Union is a financial services firm based in Seattle, Washington. They have an excellent blog called “Our Voices”.
Verity is doing an admirable job at engaging their members in an open and public dialogue. A recent post entitled, “Verity To Call or Not To Call – Members, Will You Answer?”, featured an excerpt from the blog of someone critical about Verity’s cross-selling practices. Not only did Verity openly share criticism of their practices with their readership/membership but they continue to engage the author of the original criticism in the comments section of the post.
This is an excellent example of how companies can embrace customer advocacy and transparency via blogging and the social network.

Scott - Thanks for the complimentary review of the new blog. We appreciate it.
